This painting was done on site at an old fishing village about 30 minutes from where I live, a place called Cortez Village. The Village has lots of crumbling, lopsided working buildings of the fishing industry, along with fishing boats in various stages of repair. I was pleased that the feeling of the place was captured in quick, brushy strokes.
