This painting captures the dazzling effects presented by the long rays of the morning sun in my neighborhood. I come back to this subject again and again, never failing to find it compelling and always discovering new ways to paint it. The location is one and a half blocks from my house. The painting was done in a very energetic style, with a rawness that still somehow snaps into a realistic focus.
