This painting of my front porch has no people in in, yet it has a feeling of the presence of people. It is one of my favorite places to sit and watch the passers by. The porch is shaded, but shafts of light reach it in the morning and that is what I captured, using the whiteness of the paper to indicate the blazing Florida sun. A cool, shady spot with a garden view.
