The title for this painting was chosen by means of a contest in which I asked people on Facebook to think up names for the painting and then the finalists would be voted on and selected. The winner received a signed print. Summer salsa was the winning name for this piece.

I continue to explore still life and flowers as a way to discover and experiment stylistically. The painting is loose and thickly painted, yet it pulls together as a somewhat realistic painting.
