The streets of Paris under morning light are a wonderful sight! My excitement at the beauty of this corner inspired me to paint this picture. The red awning is for a Brasserie, that hasn't opened, but waits with chairs stacked inside for the lunch crowd. Light pours down the street just to the right, leaving the brasserie in shadow. Yet it is bathed in a beautiful reflected light. My wife and I walked briskly into the warm sun to find an open cafe for croissants and cappuccinos.
