This painting is part of a series, exploring the line between realism and abstraction, using the still life. In this case, it's a collection of vintage teacups and saucers. I was fascinated with  the elipse at the time, discoveing it in trees, and all sorts of objects. Playing with elipses led me to create this fragmented composition that has both realistically painted and abstracted teacups. An archival print of this is available on paper.
