At least once in each class session, I set up a still life for everyone to work from. This one incorporated a French scarf that my wife bought in Paris.  I paint along with the students, so they can watch whenever they want. At the time, I thought I was painting a straight view of what I was looking at. Seeing now after a few months, I notice that many liberties were taken. Because they were organic, as part of the natural flow of painting live, the exaggerations and stylistic touches seem to work.
