We stayed on a pig farm in Tuscany. I know this may sound like a poor choice of accommodations, but the farm house was high on a plateau and the working far, far below on the slopes. One morning we took a walk down to explore the farm and I saw this beautiful opening in the trees, with the road descending into the valley below. Debbie went on ahead and I tool photos, which became the basis of this painting. The place, near the town of San Caciano Di Bagni, was truly beautiful and the meals were wonderful, with home made wines and olive oil and other wonderful things.
