Looking down on the almost empty street corner on that sunny winter morning, gave me a feeling of calm. But it was also strangely disconcerting.  What is usually an insane cacophony of honking horns, loud trucks, sirens and the general din of the city, seemed off somehow, in its silence.  I enjoy this perspective, regardless of whether there is noise or quiet.  To me the rooftops appear like another city, high above the sidewalk, a place where peace can sometimes be found.
