A ten minute drive from our Tennessee house is a beautiful historic park, named Sycamore Shoals. It’s an historic site, with an old fort, but the main attraction is the fast-moving stream. The pioneers and soldiers in the 1700s used these rapids for crossing. It looks pretty difficult to do, but there were no bridges, so they crossed here. My focus was mainly on the rushing water and the movement as it caught the sunlight.
