Visiting relatives, I often am surprised by my paintings hanging on their walls. In this case, I had forgotten this one. I remember at the time of its creation, I wasn't happy with it, thinking it was overwork. Somehow the patina of time allows for a fresh look at older work and now I'm quite pleased with it.
