On a windy but sunny day, a woman walks along the water under the creamy white bridge. Afternoon sun casts long shadows from the palm trees in the little park at the foot of the Ringling Bridge in Sarasota. I was unsure about this painting and put it away for two years. Recently, I decided it was interesting and maybe even good. What was making me unsure was how different it was from anything I had seen before.

The sense of perspective is extreme. I wanted to get across the massive scale of the bridge above and receding into the distance.
